There are some of the basic step you need to consider for you blog.

What’s my goal?

It’s very easy these days to get caught up in the fast money, get rich schemes out there on the internet and blogging is one of them. You may have gotten the idea to start a blog because you read that someone makes 5K a month or your friend is making a living from it. Think about what you are trying to achieve!

It’s a lot of work.

Who’s My audience?

When I think about my audience, I think about people like myself who want to make a living doing what they love. Writing. I love writing and creating new things,  blogging gives me the ability to do both.

How Do I get My Audience?

You have to be creative, unconventional and innovative. Last week I made a mess of my site ( not intentional) and it tripled my google analytics. But for me starting out it was just what I needed to get on the map. I get a lot of referrals and direct search, I make sure to talk about things my audience enjoys or is interested in.

Be Consistent!

The bottom line here is you do need to have some writing skills. Content should be useful, entertaining or inspiring. Since I started my blog I can more traffic when I post 2-3 times per week. To find your frequency look at your audience. Learn from other bloggers who’ve done well, but do your own style.

Find A Host.

I’m not technical at all ( my last weeks mess) so here is my suggestion if you are like me get WordPress and save yourself time, money and peace of mind. The plugins are really easy and they have a lot of themes to choose from. My other choice BlueHost I have a link on my page for you to receive a special price, simple no hassle easy to use and recommended  I would suggest this one for anyone who is a little more techie than me

I am the creative type remember.

Monetize It or Not

I have a  list of 60+ companies to get you started.  Just email me and I will send it to you.

So if you want stay in this game, you must adapt, be creative and come up with new ways to grab the attention of your audience. It’s not easy, but played right, it is worth it.
